Our Introduction

Darfur Youth Center for Peace and Development

Welcome to the Darfur Youth Center for Sustainable Development Goals (DYC). Established in 2022 and officially registered, DYC is a non-governmental organization committed to fostering a culture of peace, advocating for human rights, and promoting sustainable development in Sudan. Our focus lies particularly on the Darfur region, aiming to create a safer and more inclusive space to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (Peace and Development).

Who are we?

Darfur Youth Center for Peace and Development

is NGO, interested in spreading awareness of human rights, concepts and values of tolerance and a culture of peace among the population in Sudan in general, focusing on Darfur regions in particular after the end of the armed conflict and the unprecedented grave violations of human rights in the region, to create a safer space to achieve Peace and Development in Sudan.
DYC was established and registered with the competent authorities since 2022.

Mobilize all segments of local and national Sudanese society and work with stakeholder and partners to realize and sustain universal goals 4 ,5,13 and 16 in Sudan.

Spread awareness of fundamental rights and freedoms, peace culture and tolerance as a pillars of SDGs.

Our Achievements

In our inaugural year, we reached over 500 individuals through workshops focusing on gender, human rights, and peacebuilding. During the conflict outbreak in April 2023, we actively monitored human rights situations and advocated for adherence to international humanitarian law principles.
