Who are we?

Darfur Youth Center for Peace and development

is NGO, interested in spreading awareness of human rights, concepts and values of tolerance and a culture of peace among the population in Sudan in general, focusing on Darfur regions in particular after the end of the armed conflict and the unprecedented grave violations of human rights in the region, to create a safer space to achieve Peace
and development in Sudan.
DYC was established and registered with the competent authorities since 2022.

Mobilize all segments of local and national Sudanese society and work with stakeholder and partners to realize and sustain universal goals 1, 4 , 5, 6, 13 and 16 in Sudan.

Spread awareness of fundamental rights and freedoms, peace culture and tolerance as a pillars of SDGs.

Our achievements and impacts

Our organization aims to involve youth from conflict areas in human rights advocacy, capacity building, and the promotion of peace and tolerance and Gender Equality, clean water and sanitation, ending poverty and protection we managed to reach over 500 individuals in our first year through various workshops on Gender, human rights and peacebuilding.
Recently after the outbreak of conflict between SAF and RSF in 15th of April 2023 we engaged in monitoring human rights situations, and press both of conflict parties to apply international humanitarian law principles.
